For an artist its the only form of completely honest and freeing communication.  When I create a painting, I am doing so as an Artist.  I am not a wife, mother, or daughter.  Therefore, my identity is not bound by the boundaries of those titles.  However, all the life experiences given by those titles are the greatest inspiration.
11. What is the value of art for the audience?
When I am part of the audience and I see, what I think is, a great piece.  Its usually because of two reasons.  One, the piece is communicating something I have thought or felt, but could never say out loud. Two, the level of the execution of the work

Both

Art is my passion.  Lately I have been consumed with the world through the eyes of my children (2 daughters, ages 2 and 4).  Getting the opportunity to watch how they receive the world is very interesting and always takes me back to when a big back yard with trees was magical.  I want to create that someway in my art
