"Remember that a person's name is, to that person, the sweetest and most important sound in any language."
This is another part of arousing a genuine interest in others. People want to be recognized and given credit, but not collectively. They want it individually. Remembering a person's name after only one time of meeting them will make them feel like they matter to you. It is very true. I have gone to talk to a professor only a few weeks after the class stopped meeting and he couldn't even remember my face! Much less my name. It was disheartening. Immediately I began to think I had made no notable points or submitted any memorable work in his class. Needless, to say I can no longer remember his name either.
